The loss of a child or loved one is very difficult and no two people grieve the same way. The Angel of Hope Statue, which is nestled along the shores of Lake Francis in Sartell, is a place where individuals from Central Minnesota can come together to grieve the loss of their child or loved one.

Registration will start at 8:30 am
Family Activities will be held from 9 am - 10 am
Remembrance Ceremony will start at 10 am at the Angel of Hope
The Walk will begin at 10:30 am - If it rains the walk will take place in the Community Center

The cost of the event will be $25 per adult and will include a walk t-shirt. Children ages 13-17 are $10 and includes a t-shirt. Children 12 and under will be able to participate for free. When each adult registers you will be prompted to enter the name of the person you are walking in memory of. Remember everyone is a child of someone so you can walk in memory of your child, sibling, parent, friend, etc.

Remembrance Signs will be available to purchase for $12 each. These signs will have a photo of your loved one along with a memorial message. A sign can be purchased in memory of anyone. Please email a photo of your loved one to RaysofHopeWalk@gmail.com after completing registration. If you purchased a sign last year and didn't take it with you it will be placed again this year. Examples are shown below.

Extra t-shirts are also available for purchase for youth and adults for $10 each

Angel of Hope Candlelight Vigil

Sartell’s Angel of Hope is located near Lake Francis just south of Scout Drive off of Pinecone Road South and will be accessed via paved trail from the new community center parking lot. What Would Bri Do, Inc donated the angel to create a memorial where mourning parents and families can find a place of solace. The Christmas Box Angel of Hope was first introduced to the world in the international best selling book and hit television movie "The Christmas Box," written by Richard Paul Evans. The Original Angel of Hope statue, inspired by the book, was dedicated on December 6, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since the placement of this first statue, it has become known as a place of hope and healing for anyone who has suffered the loss of a child.

Angel of Hope Candlelight Vigil will be held on December 6th. A small service will start indoors at the Sartell Community Center at 6:30 pm with the vigil taking place at the base of the Angel at approximately 7 pm. Light refreshments will be served following the vigil. Remember everyone is a child of someone so you can attend in memory of your child, friend, neighbor or your family.

We would like to put together a slideshow of those that you are attending in memory of. If you are interested in submitting a photo of your loved one please email your photo to candlelightvigilsartell@gmail.com

There is no cost for this event but registration would be appreciated. Please dress according to the weather!
